ALAN BEASLEY
Presiding Elder in North Alabama GMC and Senior Pastor at Jasper First Methodist
Alan Beasley is approaching 39 years in pastoral ministry, currently the Senior Pastor of Jasper First Methodist Church, having served there since June, 2011. Uniquely, this was his second time to be appointed to Jasper First as he was the Associate Pastor/Youth Director from 1984-1987. He served several churches across North Alabama before moving to Jasper from Russellville. He also served as the founding Director of Alumni at Asbury Theological Seminary from 1990-1993. He is currently appointed as an Elder in the Global Methodist Church.
Alan is a husband and father as well as pastor/teacher. He and Lori have been married 42 years and have two grown children, Diana (James) and Preston (Lauren), and a grandson Grayson. Alan graduated from the University of North Alabama and Asbury Theological Seminary.
Alan has been privileged to serve the Lord in many ways beyond the local church, preaching revivals and camp meetings all over the country, serving the Emmaus community, working with youth in various ways, mission work in Honduras and Haiti, and doing things pastors do. He authored a daily devotional book in November, 2015, “Growing Moments in the Presence of God.”
Alan has basically one interest outside the church and his family. Cycling. Road cycling. Addicted. Enough said.
John David Crowe
Campus Pastor for Friendship at Cambridge
Leading Worship
John David's journey began in a deeply Christian environment, where church played a pivotal role in his family life. Growing up, he attended a Christian elementary school and actively participated in his youth group, engaging in meaningful mission trips and serving at his local church. At the age of 17, he made a profound decision to completely surrender his life to Christ, committing to grow as a devoted disciple.
Following his passion for faith and ministry, John pursued his education at a Christian Bible school in Texas after graduating from high school. Upon completing his studies, he returned to his hometown of Alabama, where he wholeheartedly served in his local church.
It was during this time that John discovered his love for songwriting, using his musical talents to inspire and uplift the church community. With dedication and enthusiasm, he shared his songs with different bands and utilized various venues to encourage others in their faith journeys.
Over the span of 26 years, John held multiple roles in ministry, ranging from worship leader to student pastor and technical director, working in three different churches. His diverse experiences enriched his understanding of faith and leadership.
Presently, John David serves as the Creative Arts Pastor and Campus Pastor at Friendship at Cambridge, while also pursuing his passion for music as a songwriter. He resides in Athens, AL, together with his wife Jessica and their daughter Jovie.
Aside from his ministry responsibilities, John also owns Innovative Media Pros, a venture that likely aligns with his creative pursuits.
